About the Lodge
Our team.
We treat our team right. In turn, they take good care of the lodge — and of everyone who comes to see us.
Our captains, mates, culinary team and support staff are full-time. Many have been with us for a decade or more. As a result, our island is a happy place to be — content, and running with a rhythm all its own.
You'll notice that rhythm the moment we pick you up and ferry you to the island. It is the product of care and collaboration, and it touches everything — from carrying your luggage to your room to putting you on exactly the fishing experience you came for.
The crew
Captains & mates
Three of our captains and mates are brothers. There's an uncle and a nephew among them, too. They work so well together they sometimes seem to communicate without a word.

Fishing & lodge crew
They know this place — and they care about it.
Each of our captains speaks English. Each knows the Gulf of Chiriquí intimately. Most grew up here — all live in the region. That familiarity doesn't just sharpen the fishing; it lends a genuine sense of hospitality to your entire stay.
Offshore or inshore, trolling or live baiting, our crews are dialed in and experienced. They understand every fishery here, and over the course of a trip you'll come to understand why this place captivates so many of the anglers who come to fish it.
The table
A dedicated, professional culinary team
If anything compares with the incredible fishing, it's happy hour — then dinner, then breakfast and boat lunches. Our chefs are skilled, passionate, and do everything with purpose and care.
