Inshore Species
One of the best inshore fisheries on earth.
Big roosterfish and cubera snapper are the headliners — but with hundreds of islands and incredible structure, you can do it all.
In size, action and diversity, the Gulf of Chiriquí is home to one of the best inshore fisheries in the world. This is one of the best places anywhere to catch big roosterfish and cubera snapper — and one of the best to catch a lot of them.
Those are the headliners, but there's much more: mullet snapper, bluefin trevally, sierra mackerel, amberjack, rock snapper, grouper and all manner of jacks. We even sometimes catch wahoo inshore.
Our boats carry tackle for all of it. We troll live bonito on 50-pound conventional gear for big snapper and roosters (overkill until it isn't), bump-troll blue runners and goggle-eyes on lighter tackle, cast poppers and stick baits on spinning rods, drop vertical jigs on bottom structure — and we can even break out the fly rod if you're so inclined.

Only here
Fish inshore and offshore in the same day.
In most regions, the inshore and offshore grounds can be separated by 50 miles or more. Here, the incredible bottom structure and the many islands rising from the depths mean a single day can include marlin, tuna, and roosterfish or snapper.
Much of our inshore fishing takes place around some of the most beautiful tropical islands you'll ever see — a feature of the fishing that simply isn't available in most other places.
