Blue marlin
The man in the blue suit. A greyhounding blue quartering away from the boat, peeling line from a big reel, is a sight you'll never forget.
For many anglers, catching a blue marlin is the pinnacle of the sportfishing experience. We catch good numbers of them.
Blue marlin are among the most powerful and acrobatic fighters in the ocean. Capable of long, sustained runs, they sometimes spend nearly as much of the fight out of the water as in it. A greyhounding blue, quartering away from the boat as it peels line from a large conventional reel, is a sight you will never forget.

How we catch them
The edge, the structure, and the man in the blue suit.
We target many of our blue marlin by trolling plugs on the edge in open water. If we find an area that's fishy, this can produce not only blues but sailfish, dorado and black marlin too. And if we find a piece of floating structure offshore, that's even better — often it's the home of the man in the blue suit.
We'll bump-troll live bonito around it for blue and black marlin, dorado and sailfish — and sometimes big yellowfin. We also catch a fair number while live baiting over bottom structure nearer shore. When the clicker goes off, you never know what's in store.
