At Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge, we believe healthy fisheries are the foundation of the whole experience. We are committed to conservation.
We practice catch and release on all billfish — black marlin, blue marlin and sailfish — as well as cubera snapper and roosterfish. When we target these species with live or dead bait, we use circle hooks, which greatly improve the survival rate of fish that are caught and released.
Beyond our own practices, we proudly support a number of conservation organizations, including the International Game Fish Association, Safari Club International, the Dallas Safari Club and others.
